Hey there! I'm Rachel, but some of my friends call me Moose (a story for another day).

I'm a dreamer at heart, with a love for blending creativity, physical therapy, and education in ways you would have to experience to believe. My journey's taken me from the world of pediatric physical therapy to launching a bakery, and now, running a makerspace with an assistive technology focus that brings together students, educators, and community members to tinker, create, and prototype.

When I'm not shaping young minds or unleashing my inner maker, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, jet-setting to my next adventure, or hitting the trails (waterfalls and climbing rocks are always a welcomed bonus). I believe in living a life packed with joy, ease, and a generous sprinkle of play.

When I started dreaming of the life I wanted, it used to always start with my career first. I mean, I did spend all that time, money, and energy getting my physical therapy degree so I couldn’t let it “go to waste”…right?

It will NEVER, EVER be a waste gaining knowledge and experience. I have found myself applying my physical therapy assessment skills when approaching challenges by asking relevant questions, understanding the cause or source of issue, and using my deductive reasoning skills on how to best address the issue (top down? bottom up? structural? refer out? or my favorite: it depends).

I'm all about making an impact—whether it's through my work in education, whipping up something sweet to share, or supporting my local community. Looking ahead, I dream of a wildly creative lifestyle, and making sure there's always time for the next big adventure.

Want to get in on the action or just say hi?

Stay curious,

Rachel
